A Tampa man led police on a high-speed chase, all so he could impress his lady friend.
23-year-old Taylor Beverly took his date for a ride on his motorcycle and topped speeds of well over 100 mph. Cops saw him run a red light and pursued him, but despite the date's screams for him to stop, he kept going and ran more red lights before finally being stopped at an intersection. Beverly told police he was on a first date and trying to show off.
He's already pled guilty and will spend two months in the slammer.
