There are several events happening throughout the area, to commemorate Memorial Day, on Monday, May 26th
Manatee County – Memorial Day Ceremony
May 26, 2025: Manatee County Veterans Council invites you to join them at the newly named “Donald L Courtney Veterans Park” for Bradenton's annual Memorial Day Service.
Please join the community in recognizing our Veterans who all gave some and some who gave all that we may live in freedom.
9 a.m. at The Park is located on the Bradenton Riverwalk behind Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, FL..
Sarasota Memorial Day Parade
All are invited to The Sarasota Memorial Day Parade. It will feature the City of Sarasota Police Color Guard and Motorcycle contingent. and will host numerous Veterans groups including SRQ Veterans, American Legion, VFW, Vietnam Veterans, Vietnam Nam Brotherhood, SAR and DAR,
The Sarasota Military Academy Band and many other groups. The theme for the Sarasota Memorial Day Parade is: "We Will Never Forget."
The 2025 Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Osprey and Main in downtown Sarasota, FL. There will be a commemorative ceremony following the parade at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park at 11:00 a.m.
Sonny Bywaters will be the featured speaker. Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park at the end of Main Street
Annual Venice Area Memorial Day Ceremony
will be hosted by the American Legion NO-VEL Post 159 at 10 a.m. at Patriots Park. All veterans organizations in the Venice area are invited to participate.
The public is also invited. The VFW, Civil Air Patrol, Marine Corps League and numerous other organizations will also be participating.
Mayor Nick Pachota will attend and be special guest speaker. Rifle Salute, TAPS and more. Bring chairs.
10 a.m. Patriots Park, 800 Venetia Bay Blvd. Venice, FL.
Patriots Park is located on U.S. 41, just north of the intersection of U.S. 41 Bypass North and U.S. 41 Business.

Join the City and American Legion Post 254 for the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at City Hall - City Center Circle.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.
Anna Maria Island – Memorial Day Event
May 26, 2025: - It's the Memorial Day Patriotic Symphony Salute.
The annual Memorial Day Observance and Concert at the Anna Maria City Pier starts at 10 a.m.
The 90-minute program is free to attend and includes a flag presentation by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Sarasota Memorial Day Concert
May 26, 2025: You're invited to enjoy the Annual Memorial Day Concert in Phillippi Estate Park.
Enjoy an evening of free music and remembrance by the Sarasota Concert Band at the Phillippi Estate Park gazebo on Monday, May 26, from 5-7 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs, gather your friends and family and enjoy a beautiful outdoor concert as we honor those who served.
