Sarasota County Schools Looking to Hire Bus Drivers - Will Hep You Get CDL

Sarasota County Schools has around 25 bus routes that have been delayed daily as they deal with drivers out sick and a shortage of drivers across the state.

The district says their highlighting their benefits package and working to increase the salary rates to stay competitive.

They are going to go to the school board on February 15th to increase thier transportation salary by $2 per hour.

They also offer free training to people that don’t have their CDL license yet.

The district is hosting a job fair focused solely on transportation this Friday.

Reliable transportation is a key part to a student’s success.

The school district's Human Resources team is hosting a Transportation Job Fair this Friday, February 4th from 11:00 - 1:00 PM at the Transportation Department at 301 Old Venice Road.
