Sarasota Vietnam Veteran Has a New Ramp on His Patio Thanks to a Fallow Vet
SRQ Vets prides itself on having a strong and positive impact on the community because they work closely with local and national organizations. They are equipped to offer assistance, support, and volunteers for many events and occasions.
Their selfless efforts have helped another Sarasota veteran’s life, by making it easier thanks to a few volunteers.
Kapp McMullin and his daughter spent part of their weekend building a new ramp free of charge.
The new ramp is for Army Veteran William “Billy” Dehart. Billy served in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.
Billy as trouble getting in and out of the house because he has issues with depth perception.
His wife reached out to SRQ Vets for help.
SRQ Vets donated the lumber and the McMullins gave their time.
After a few hours of hard work, Billy can now walk onto his patio with ease.
McMullin said he was more than happy to help.
Kapp comes from a long line of veterans, so he understands why service men and women deserve our help.
His grandfather was a veteran in WWII, his father was a veteran and he served as well.
This project is one of many volunteer projects Kapp has worked on for area veterans, and he plans to keep doing more.
Would you like to volunteer, donate... or.... are you a Veteran, or do you know one that could use some assistance?
