The 21st Annual Sarasota Firefighters Firehouse Chili Cook-Off, is This Sunday, in front of Morton's Market in Sarasota.
Sunday, October 17, 2021.... Sample 13 Different Chili's from Firehouses all over Sarasota County and Beyond, plus the Sarasota Police Department,
The event runs from 2pm-5pm, however, you will not want to miss the spectacular and emotional Opening Ceremony, which will be held at 1:45pm.
There will be Live Music, Cold Drinks and Fun for All Ages. All in front of Morton's Market, at the corner of Osprey and Hillview in Sarasota, This Sunday, October 17th, 2021.
Aside from sampling all the great chili... all the Chili Teams will also be competing against each other for a few titles...
- The title of the “Best Fire House Chili in Sarasota”
- "Peoples Choice for the Best Chili"
and
- "Best Booth".
Admission is free and the Chili Tasting tickets are only $10 (which you get, at the event, when you arrive). You can also get them in advance at Morton's Gourmet Market.
Every year all monies raised are donated to the Sarasota Fireman’s benevolent fund, which is a 501-3c non-profit organization.
There will also be celebrity judges in attendance, you can meet:
Honorary Celebrity Judges- Adyn and Abby. Adyn was made an Honorary Sarasota Fire Chief in 2018. Adyn (9) is a future firefighter. Adyn has been fighting the fight against Leukemia for over 4 years. Abby has been amazing sister to her brother and was very brave and donated her bone marrow to her brother

- Steve Christie : 15yr. all pro NFL Kicker Bills, Chargers, Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers
