2 New monoclonal antibody treatment sites are Now Open on the Suncoast… one is in Bradenton and one is In Englewood.
Each location has the capacity to serve more than 300 patients per day and both will be open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Bradenton clinic is at Manatee Memorial Hospital. The South County one is at te Englewood Charlotte Public Library.
This treatment HAS SOWN TO REDUCE hospital stays for people who have the virus or were exposed to it by 70 percent.
It also helps alleviate the crunch that hospitals are dealing with, when it comes to COVID patients.
The Florida Department of Health says… Monoclonal antibody treatments (MAB) can prevent hospitalization or death in high-risk patients with COVID-19 and are widely available in Florida.
Individuals 12 years and older who are high-risk, that have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19, are eligible for this treatment. Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter.
