There are several COVID-19 Test Sites in Sarasota and Manatee Counties

Sarasota

COVID-19 testing has returned to Sarasota, with a walk-up testing site at the Robert L. Taylor Community complex, along 301 in North Sarasota.

The City of Sarasota and the Sarasota County Department of Health is allowing those with or without symptoms to receive a free COVID-19 test… as positive cases around the area, remain on the rise.

The site is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

It will be closed on Sundays. No appointment is needed

The location will offer both PCR and rapid testing for those that visit.

North Port

The health department of Sarasota County and city of North Port, will operate a walk-up testing site, at Dallas White Park, 5900 Greenwood Ave, in North Port. 

Testing will be offered 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 

Testing is free; PCR and Rapid tests will be available.

University Parkway

There is a testing site operated at the former Sarasota Kennel Club property. That free drive-thru testing site is located, along University Parkway… at 5400 Old Bradenton Road ... across from the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.

It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Testing is Monday through Saturday. No appointment is required.

Testing is free; PCR and Rapid tests will be available.

Manatee County

Manatee County reopens COVID-19 testing site at Bradenton Area Convention Center

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Aug. 9, 2021) – The Florida Department of Health in Manatee County (DOH-Manatee) and Manatee County Government have teamed up to offer an additional location for COVID-19 testing.

The COVID-19 testing site is located at the Bradenton Area Convention Center southwest parking lot, 1 Haben Boulevard in Palmetto. The site operates 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. seven days a week. Testing (including both PCR and rapid testing) are free of charge. This is a walk-up operation and no appointment is necessary. Visitors are asked to bring proof of Florida residency (driver’s license, utility bill with Florida address, etc.).

“I encourage all Manatee County residents and visitors to stay vigilant because COVID-19 is still prevalent in our community.” said Public Safety Director Jacob Saur. “Now is not the time to let your guard down and it’s more important than ever to continue following CDC guidelines.”

The Department of Health Manatee will continue to run the testing and vaccine site at the Palmetto bus station weekdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

FREE TESTING AND VACCINATION, AT PALMETTO BUS STATION

The Florida Department of Health in Manatee County (DOH-Manatee) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) have teamed up to offer a one-stop shop for COVID-19 testing and vaccination.

The COVID-19 testing and vaccination site is located at the Palmetto Bus Station.

Testing (including both PCR and rapid testing) and vaccinations (Moderna) are free of charge.

This is a walk-up operation; no appointment necessary. Visitors are asked to bring proof of Florida residency (driver’s license, utility bill with Florida address, etc.). For more information, call (941) 242-6646.

The state testing location in Bradenton is no longer in operation. Many pharmacies offer COVID-19 testing. Nearby testing sites are listed below:

MCR HEALTH COLLECTION KIT AVAILABILITY

Testing is available at all MCR Health locations. Drive through testing is no longer available.

Patient fees for the testing and any associated costs will be determined at the time of the visit.
