Florida Man Allegedly Stole Gator From Golf Course, Then Threw it on Roof Top Bar
Last Thursday morning (7/15/21) after reportedly stealing an alligator from a mini golf course.
William “Bubba” Hodge, 32, is accused of swinging the gator around and stomping on it.
Police saw Hodge walking around South Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores with the gator. Law enforcement saw him swing the animal by the tail before attempting to toss it onto a rooftop cocktail lounge. .
Mr. Hodge admits to hopping a fence to get to the gator enclosure at Congo River Golf and stealing the animal.
Police said he told them he was tossing the alligator around, “to teach it a lesson”.
Officials said the gator should be alright.
The man from Homestead, Florida was arrested on charges of possession and injury of an alligator, burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
