Sarasota woman allegedly spit on passengers, dragged off flight for refusing to wear mask

In Fort Myers, The Lee County Port Authority Police say 23-year-old Adelaide Schrowang of Sarasota, refused to wear a mask, on an airplane she had just boarded, which is currently required... when asked to put a face covering on, she became very upset..... then spit on other passengers.

The Sarasota woman was then forcibly removed from the plane by police.

Adelaide Schrowang, 23, earlier this week (7/7/21) was aboard a flight leaving Fort Myers, and was violating the plane’s mask rules and then began acting unruly, according to witnesses. Federal law requires all passengers to wear a face covering while on board airplanes.

Flight attendants say Schrowang became very angry after being ordered off the plane and then spit on other passengers.

Schrowang was arrested on several charges including interfering with aircraft operations, resisting officers and trespass, then booked into the Lee County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of $20,000 bond, according to online jail records.
