Sarasota’s Offshore Powerboat Races, Are This Weekend
Yes, The Event Has Been Moved Up a Week, as Race Boats Take to Gulf of Mexico, Just off Lido Beach This Weekend.
The 36th Annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix is back this year....
Offshore Race Teams are in town for the Grand Prix, which is now part of Sarasota’s newly renamed "Suncoast Summer Fest".
The festivities will kick off with a block party on Friday, June 25th in Downtown Sarasota, from 6pm-10pm that will offer fans the opportunity to visit competing race teams and see the race boats up close on Main St. .
Race boat testing, will take place in the Gulf of Mexico and along Lido Beach on Saturday, July 26th, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Offshore Powerboat races will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 27th... in the waters just off of Lido Beach in Sarasota
The Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix is part of Suncoast Summer Fest which helps raise funds for six local charities.
Events next weekend over the 4th of July weekend, include a "Party in the Park", a Parade and a Huge Fireworks show... all in Downtown Sarasota.
