Tiger Woods' PopStroke Golf Casual Restaurant Coming to UTC in Sarasota
The next time you drive around the area of University Town Center at University Parkway and I-75... you will notice all the new things happening in the ever-growing shopping and entertainment area. Signs have recently gone up, as work is now being done in preparation of the new Mote Marine Aquarium. A new Barnes & Noble bookstore and Ford's Garage restaurant are also opening very soon.
When the Mall at UTC was built, plans in the future called for expansion of the area, in UTC's East District. Where the plan called for 900,000-square-feet where the vision included: office space, hotels, entertainment and upscale apartments.
Well... last week, (5/9/21) University Town Center announced on its Facebook page that PopStroke, Tiger Woods' family-friendly golf and casual dining concept, will open a brand new location in the East District by the end of the year, 2021.
Tiger Woods is a partner in the Jupiter, Florida based golf & restaurant concept. Tiger and a design team created two 18-hole golf courses for PopStroke – the "tiger," for people who do golf.... and the "cub," for people who do not play golf.
It is more than golf....The Fort Myers "PopStroke" location, opened in September of 2020 and it has a beer garden, a restaurant and an outdoor game area with corn hole and foosball.
The "PopStroke" menu features things like mozzarella sticks, salads, potstickers, fresh baked pretzels and pizza. There is ice cream, beer, wine and specialty cocktails.
