It's Done - The DeSoto Square Mall - is Closing for Good, Today
Manatee County’s longtime and shopping mall has announced it is closing its doors Today… Friday, April 30th.
DeSoto Square Mall, which is located in the 300 block of 301 Boulevard in Bradenton, opened in 1973.
The mall, which is almost 50 years old, has had an issue for several years, trying to keep stores and shoppers.
Yesterday (4/29/21) a note announcing the Mall's closure was taped to entrance doors at The DeSoto Square Mall.
Some of the stores surrounding the mall will remain open.
The owners of the mall property want to turn the space into a multi-use project.
