Manatee County Schools Announce They Will Not Offer E-Learning This Fall. Sarasota County Has Not Yet Made a Decision
When the New School Year starts in the Fall of 2021, it will be back in the classroom for all students in Manatee County …. Just to our north, Pasco County school officials, also say they will not offer remote local learning as an option... Of course, that option was created to keep education moving in a safe way, all in response to COVID-19.
Both the Manatee County and Pasco County School Districts say the majority of their students have already returned to in-person learning.
In Fact, The Manatee County School District sent a letter home to parents just before spring break announcing the elimination of their virtual platform, for this coming fall, in August 2021. The first Day of school in Manatee is currently scheduled for Tuesday, August 10th.
Most educators have now been vaccinated against COVID-19, due to a federal mandate that opened up eligibility to all school workers in early March of 2021.
In terms of the Sarasota County School District, no announcement has been made on whether or not they’ll retain their virtual school options this fall.

Other highlights include: Winter Break from, Wednesday, December 22nd - Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 ... and Spring Break from: March 14th-18th, 2022... The Last day for most students will be: Thursday, May 26th, 2022
