Sarasota-Manatee Girl Scouts Looking for Locations to Host Cookie Sales

Sarasota and Manatee County Girl Scouts are Looking for Locations to Host Girl Scouts Selling Cookies

Our Sarasota and Manatee County Girl Scouts are looking for more local businesses to help them conduct their traditional and annual cookie drive.

Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida’s annual cookie drive begins on Friday, February 19th. The Girl Scouts need help and would love to partner with local stores to host in-person cookie sales.

All COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed.

“This year we’re asking for support from the communities we serve in order to overcome the challenges our troops are facing this cookie season due to the ongoing pandemic,” council CEO Mary Anne Servian said in a press release. “This year, Girl Scouts will also sell cookies to donate to our essential healthcare workers, veterans and other Hometown Heroes.”

Girl Scouts learn business and life skills during the annual cookie drive, which is the largest entrepreneurial program in the world. Proceeds fund troop trips, community service projects, program scholarships, camp property maintenance and other vital services.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program runs through March 21st with preorders now already underway. Cookies will be sold outside of some participating Publix and Winn-Dixie stores throughout Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

In some areas nationwide, cookies can be ordered and delivered by GrubHub.

To check availability in your area, go to www.grubhub.com/food/girl_scouts.
