Pittsburgh Pirates Announce Limited Capacity Seating for Spring Training Games in Bradenton
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced yesterday (2/1/21) that COVID-19 safety protocols for their spring training this year at their spring home, Bradenton’s LECOM Park. .
This year's spring training plan, will have the Pirates planning for “approximately 25 percent capacity throughout LECOM park. Those tickets will be made available with seating pod allotments of both, two and four per transaction. .
Pittsburgh Pirates spring training, Season-ticket holders will be given first priority to choose their seating location through their MyTix account on www.Pirates.com .
New season-ticket packages are not available this season due to the health and safety protocols and limited capacity brought forth by the current global coronavirus pandemic.
The Pirates spring training home opener is scheduled for Sunday, February 28th against the Atlanta Braves. LECOM Park is slated to host 17 games this spring.
The last spring training game played at LECOM was on March 12th, 2020, just as Major League Baseball shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic and delayed the start of the season until last summer.
