Sarasota County Launches a New System, So You Know Where You Are in Line for the Covid-19 Vaccine
If you or a friend or loved one, does not know, where they or you... are in line for the Covid-19 vaccine?
Sarasota County has now launched a system to help.
Keep in mind. Sarasota County is using the "fist come, first serve approach, in terms of when someone registered.
In Manatee County, they are using a random drawing, lottery style system.
Last week, on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021... the Florida Department of Health Sarasota County held a press conference at the Sarasota Square Mall, As that is now Sarasota County’s new primary vaccination site.
During the press conference they talked about the vaccinations and addressed a few key points.... Including the need for proof of Florida residency. They also announced "the new account numbering system"... which will allow individuals, to know where they are in line on the county’s virtual waiting list for vaccine distribution.
This new numbering system was added to each account in Sarasota County on Thursday, January 28th, through the Everbridge vaccine registration system. Sarasota County Citizens who have already registered online can view where they are in line by logging into their Everbridge account.
Their number in line will show at the top of their login page as “account number”. This number will change the closer they get to an appointment date.
