Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Wants Proof of Residency to Receive COVID Vaccine - Sarasota and Manatee Counties, Both will Now Require It

The Florida Governor said… “People arriving for a vaccine. Must show a valid Florida Drivers License, ID Card or Utility Bill, showing a Florida address in their name, to receive a vaccine.”

Both Manatee and Sarasota Counties, shared this news, last night (1-20-21) and will be following this new policy.

Sarasota County

Sarasota County launched a new website and phone number (941-861-8297) for reservations yesterday (1/20/21)…. and though they said there may be a delay in applicants to get a confirmation email regarding their appointment… 50,000 individuals registered through the new system, in just the first hour it was live.

Sarasota County Officials say that if you were already scheduled for a second vaccination appointment, there is no need to register in the new system.

Manatee County has had their process in place for a weeks. If you or someone you know, needs to get on that list. There are two ways to get registered for the COVID Vaccine.
