Royal Caribbean Looking For Volunteers To Go on Test Cruises
At least one major cruise line that operates out of U.S. ports is going to be looking for volunteers in trial cruising voyages.
Royal Caribbean international wants to organize these test run cruises to meet the new CDC requirements.
The CDC has lifted its no sail order, but operators have to try out health and safety protocols at sea before they can even apply for the CDC’s COVID conditional sailing certificate.
That process takes time, so U.S. cruise lines are canceling regular voyages for the rest of the year.
CDC said it's willing to let ships set sail with the right precautions. Royal Caribbean International is more than ready to take advantage of this opportunity.
It wants to organize the test runs to meet CDC requirements, and its looking for volunteers to help make this happen.
So… When can the public start signing up to be a volunteer on the trial cruises?
The company said it hasn't quite worked out the details yet.
