State Road 64 Westbound is Still Shut Down, East of Lakewood Ranch Blvd.
A wastewater main break still has shut down the westbound lanes State Road 64 East, just east of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. This issue started yesterday morning (10/5/20). According to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Drivers will need to find alternate routes, around this road closure.
The roadway was shut down just after 9:30 a.m. yesterday (10/5/20), when the wastewater main broke in the westbound lanes of State Road 64 East.
Manatee County utility crews are repairing the pipe at the site of the break. They also brought in vacuum trucks to contain the spill, No word yet on how much wastewater or sewage was spilled.
There is no timetable when they expect the road back open.
