Snowbirds to Sarasota & Manatee may be Less & Later This Year due COVID-19
Not all Suncoast snowbirds who make this area their winter home are certain of their plans this year. Depending on the feelings of safety with the COVID-19 pandemic, and where they stay, plans will altered for many and much different this year.
Some of the most popular places where are winter residents travel from: New England, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, And of course Canada.
And with Canada.. the big unknown is Canada currently has the border closed. You cannot drive into the US.. You can however, fly in. Which could be a major factor for many, if it stays closed, through season.
Our visitors from the north, who might typically arrive in November, before Thanksgiving… may be back after Christmas or after New Year’s.
In fact… So far, Suncoast rentals have seen the Strongest demand for the months of January, February and March for visitors from the Northeast and Midwest, of the US..
