Michelle Brenner and her homemade lasagna are helping so many, during these times.
After she was furloughed from her job at a menswear store in Gig Harbor, Washington, she went on Facebook and offered free, homemade lasagna to anyone who wanted it. No fan of the frozen form of the pasta, she set aside the $1,200 from her stimulus check to purchase ingredients.
Three months and 1,200 pans of lasagna later, Brenner is still at it, feeding everyone from hospital workers to single parents struggling without paychecks. A successful Facebook fundraiser has enabled her to keep buying ingredients.
The local Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club has also given Michelle the run of their kitchen so she has more storage and cooking capacity.
