On Thursday, April 16th New York State Senator James Skoufis urged the New York Attorney General to look into concerns that Ticketmaster changed its refund policy because of the pandemic.
“Ticketmaster is a sales platform and does not hold all customer dollars,” Ticketmaster said in a statement. “Revenue from ticket sales is held by our clients and event organizers."
Concert and Event Promoter AEG, however, has a new plan for refunds starting May 1st.
That day, fans with tickets to shows already rescheduled can request refunds for up to 30 days.
For ticket holders of shows that don't yet have new dates, they will get 30 days for a refund once the new dates are announced.
AEG typically handles Kenny Chesney concert tickets.
