When Will You Get Your Stimulus Check? Track it...

Many people have already seen money show up in their bank accounts...

Remember, those who have a bank account, "already on file" with the IRS, will get their checks first.

Beginning this Friday, April 17, You will be able to track your COVID-19 relief payment using the IRS website.

They have established, the “Get My Payment” tool online. It will guide you if you need to submit updated banking information, that way you receive your stimulus checks quicker.. Officials have said, actual paper checks may not go out until May.

Now, if your bank account information has changed since you last filed taxes, this website will allow you to update your information.

Reminders on the Program:

Those who earn up to $75,000 in adjusted gross income and have a Social Security number are set to receive a $1,200 payment.

Married couples who file joint returns will receive $2,400 if their adjusted gross income is under $150,000.

Parents will receive $500 for each qualifying child.

BEWARE OF SCAMS, when it comes to these payments...

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is warning of many scams.

The IRS will never call, text, or use social media to contact check recipients.

Other Important tips:

  • Do not respond to text messages, emails or ads directing you to click on a link;
  • Do not provide any personal or financial information in response to an unsolicited message;
  • Do not trust caller ID displays claiming a call is from the IRS—as spoofing technology allows scammers to change phone displays to impersonate government agencies; and
  • Do not make any advance payment in order to secure or expedite access to a benefit.
