Holmes Beach Parking Garage Construction Bill, Signed by Governor DeSantis
Florida House Bill 947, is a new state bill approved by The Florida Legislature thins year, now signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis that allows Manatee County to construct a parking facility with amenities various within the City of Holmes Beach, on the county owned land at Manatee Public Beach (where State Road 64 (Manatee Ave) ends at The Gulf of Mexico. .
Preliminary plans feature an estimated cost of $45 million to provide a parking structure with 1,500 parking spaces.
It could also include expanded concessions, restrooms, locker room facilities, as well as the potential of having a restaurant with a retail shop.
The Manatee County Commission will discuss the process on this project at upcoming meetings… those conversations will include a possible timeline for permitting, planning and construction of the facility.
