North Port Having Public Meeting on Price Boulevard Widening Project
The project consists of the following:
Four travel lanes/two in each direction
A continuous bi-directional center left lane
A ten feet wide multi-use path on each side of the roadway
While the design and permitting phase of the project had previously been completed, some elements of the design will be revisited as a result of lessons learned during Hurricane Ian. When design changes are finalized, they will be submitted to Commission for consideration and approval. Once the new design has been approved and permitting completed, the project will be ready to advertise for construction bidding.
At this time, a start date for construction has not been set.
Public Meetings
An open house community meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center (1602 Kramer Way).
Public Works and Utilities staff will be on hand to:
Answer questions on the project timeline
Discuss how traffic will be impacted, and what neighbors and those with driveways on Price Boulevard can expect
Provide images of what the new road will look like
Provide an opportunity for those with houses on Price Boulevard to fill out a required Temporary Construction Easement form with a notary onsite to help with completion
