Sarasota Police Foundation Announces Annual Gala will be Saturday, January 28th, 2023

The Sarasota Police Foundation is so excited to announce their annual gala this year but under a new name!
Please join us for our annual SRQ Blue & White Gala! This celebrates and supports our City Police Department. The Police Foundation focuses on raising funds from various community sources to enable the SPD to achieve specific objectives that either may not be budgeted for or that may benefit from augmented funding. Initiatives may include special equipment purchases, enhanced training, officer safety and youth outreach programs.

The Sarasota Police Foundation is hosting a fundraiser on January 28th at Michael’s On East. Join us for a night of food, drinks, and a live auction!
All proceeds will go to the Sarasota Police Foundation.

The Sarasota Police Foundation (SPF) was formed in 2014 by city residents and business owners intent on supporting the officers of the Sarasota Police Department. The primary objectives of SPF include:
- Providing resources for improved equipment and training
- Fostering open, bi-directional communication between the SPD and citizens.
- Recognizing exceptional officer service and professionalism
- Providing health & wellness initiatives for officers
SPF provides open support for the Sarasota Police Department and its officers. The foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with no paid employees or consultants; the SPF is operated entirely with volunteers. Funding comes from donations from individuals, businesses, foundations or fundraising events held by SPF. All monies raised or donations received go directly to support the Sarasota Police Department, through the efforts of the SPF.
The foundation also works to provide support and other resources to officers and their families that face severe medical conditions, whether from injury or disease.
