Florida has Money for residents to pay Hurricane Ian insurance deductibles
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced the state will be disbursing $5 million dollars to help people pay their home insurance deductibles.
The money will be awarded to local housing partners in six counties; Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Hardee, Lee, and Sarasota counties.
The money will go straight to each county’s State Housing Initiatives Partnership office or SHIP. Homeowners in need of assistance should reach out to the office in their county.
