Sarasota County Schools to Begin Classes Again, in 2 Separate Phases
Sarasota County Schools held a Press Conference this morning (Tuesday, October 4th, 2022) at 11am, to update everyone on schools resuming in Sarasota County
Superintendent Brendan Asplan says the plan to re-open Sarasota County Schools, will happen in 2 separate phases.
Phase 1
Schools From Taylor Ranch to the North, within Sarasota County, they hope to open this coming Monday, October 10, 2022.... pending repairs that are needed are made in time, for this date.
Phase 2
Schools in Sarasota County south of Taylor Ranch, they hope to open sometime the week of October 17th... pending damages to those schools being corrected and repaired.
Sarasota County Schools, will hold a follow up briefing and press conference on either Thursday, October 6th or Friday, October 7th, 2022 - to address if returning to class for the schools in Phase 1, can in fact happen.
