Sarasota County Providing Meals and Water to Those in Need in the County
The following Neighborhood Points of Distribution (NPODS) are supplying Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) and water in a drive-up capacity until supplies last.

- Hyundai of Venice, 200 Jacaranda Blvd., Venice
- San Pedro Catholic Church, 14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port
- Englewood Center Plaza, 200 S. Indiana Ave., Englewood
- Wellfield Park, 1400 Lucaya Ave, Venice
Additionally Sarasota Schools needs helping getting the following information. People should NOT be dropping off donations at any the evacuation center site
For those who have expressed interest in donating supplies for local families & individuals in need after the devastation left by Hurricane Ian, please note the following donation site information:

- South Shore Community Church

- CoastLife Church
- Address:1100 U.S. Highway 41 Bypass Venice.
- Drop-Off date & time: Monday, October 3 – 8:00 to 10:00 AM and 4:00 to 7:00 PM
What items are needed?
Everything. There are varying levels & types of need in our community right now and a wide variety of care items would be helpful:
- Basic toiletries like shampoo, toothpaste, hairbrushes and toothbrushes, body wash & soap
- Clothing items like shirts, skirts, pants, hoodies/jackets, socks, and shoes
- Blankets, sheets, sleeping bags & pillows
- Nonperishable food items such as peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned soup, & cereal
- Bottled water, juice boxes
- Comfort items like stuffed animals, books, and games
