North Port is Pushing for Construction of a New I-75 Exit

North Port wants a new Interstate 75 exit and interchange near the Sarasota County - Charlotte County line. Charlotte County would also really like this to become a reality.

This potential new interchange would be between Yorkshire Street and Raintree Boulevard, between the Kings Highway and Toledo Blade Boulevard interchanges on I-75.

The projected cost for the new exit, off 75 is estimated to be approximately $60 Million Dollars.

North Port and Charlotte County are both in favor of this project and will ask Sarasota County to join in the endorsement, to The Florida Department of Transportation.

If eventually approved, it could be a long process to get built, especially if federal funds are needed. The timeline could be 15 years.
