Manatee County Public Libraries Expanding Hours
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (JULY 21, 2022) – The Manatee County Public Library System will be expanding and standardizing its hours at all locations in a phased approach, starting August 1, 2022.
To ensure consistency across the library system, all Manatee County Public Libraries are expanding their hours of operation to Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The new hours will allow customers increased access to library resources, programs and services.
Effective dates for the new standardized hours, by library location, are as follows:
- Downtown, Braden River and Palmetto: August 1
- Rocky Bluff and South Manatee: August 13
- Island: August 27
“The ability to coordinate our hours and expand services is critical for our citizens,” said Manatee County Library Services Manager Tammy Parrott. “We are delighted to have the resources and people in place—at the right time—to better serve our community.”
