A Stranger Leaves a $4,000 Tip for a Single Mom in Texas
Chelsea Bell Lantrip is a single mom who works as a bartender at Chances Dance Hall in Cleburne, Texas. After clocking in recently, "two random girls" whom she had not seen at the bar before came in with the crowd of regular customers.
One of the women ordered a round of drinks for everyone at the dance hall -- and then gave Chelsea a tip of $4,000 on the $179 tab.
The extra money gave Chelsea a big boost because she has a son going to Texas A&M in the fall. She plans to use the money to help him with school costs, pay off some bills -- and also take her aunt and grandmother out to a nice dinner.
Chelsea said she believes in "guardian angels" and described the woman who gave her the tip as a "gift from God."
