New Record Set for Average Manatee County Home Prices - Whopping $550,000
Manatee County and Sarasota County Continue to be Red Hot When it Comes to Real Estate Sales.
The new average price is…. $550,000 for existing singe-family houses sold in the month of May, in Manatee County. This new record is $25,000 more than the prior record set in March 2022, and it is now 37.5% more — an increase of $150,000 — from the median price, just 12 months ago.
Townhouses and condos in Manatee County in May 2022 showed a BIGGER increase. The May median price for those was $369,900 which is up 51.9%, or $126,305, from the same month last year.
For Sarasota County the median price for existing single-family houses increased by 21.6% to $495,000 and the median cost for townhouses and condos increased 29% to $403,000.
Looking at the numbers... Manatee County recorded 685 existing home sales in May 2022, compared to 739 a year ago. Single-family home sales in Sarasota fell to 910 from 985 a year ago. Condo and town home sales fell 1.7% in Sarasota, but rose by 6.3% in Manatee County.
