Manatee County looking into possibly ending it’s red light camera program

Manatee County commissioners appear to be leaning…. to allow the contract with their current the red-light camera vendor to expire on October 14th, 2022

At last report, There were more than 2,000 red light infractions issued in April. However… The county rejected more than 5,400 right-turn violations in April.

A couple of commissioners say they want to look at other ways to improve safety without the red light cameras.
