Alert in Osprey, The Blackburn Point Swing Bridge, is undergoing repairs

During the Month of May, the Blackburn Point Swing Bridge in Osprey, near Casey Key..... will be operating on a “temporary schedule” while the bridge undergoes repairs.

The U.S. Coast Guard has approved the bridge to open on the hour.

Sarasota County and the U.S. Coast Guard are advising motorists that they may also experience slight traffic delays, due to this ongoing work.

Repairs to the bridge may take up to 30 days, and when complete the bridge will return to normal operating schedules
