The De Soto Grand Parade returns to Bradenton Saturday
The Hernando DeSoto Historical Society welcomes back everyone for the first – full parade since 2019…There will be over 160 entry’s, in the 2nd largest parade now, in the State of Florida, after Tampa’s Gasparilla Parade …
It will begin at 7pm, Saturday, April 20, 2022. It starts at Manatee High School and travels through the streets around the school, making its way along Manatee Ave. and ending in Downtown Bradenton, near Old Main Street.
You do need to know, that there will be many street closures in Bradenton, beginning late Saturday (4/20/22) afternoon and running into the evening, all through Downtown Bradenton, along Manatee Ave and around Manatee High School.
ROAD CLOSURES: Manatee Ave West, from 1st Street through 43rd St, will close at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, the Green Bridge will also close at the same time, with no traffic being able to cross north or southbound between Bradenton and Palmetto. The parade starts at 7:00 p.m., and the roads will open after all pedestrian traffic is clear and the streets have been cleaned.
