Sarasota County Celebrating Opening of New Fire Station on Bee Ridge Road

Sarasota County Fire Department celebrates the opening of the new Fire Station 9, 6750 Bee Ridge Road.

Sarasota County held a hose uncoupling ceremony, which is posted to the Sarasota County Emergency Services Facebook page.

Speakers at the event included:

• Board of County Commissioners Chairman Alan Maio.
• Board of County Commissioners Vice Chairman Ron Cutsinger.
• Emergency Services Director Rich Collins.

About Station 9:

The previous Station 9 building was built in the 1970s. In April 2021, the old building was demolished to make way for the new facility. The new 10,500-square-foot facility is a three-bay station built to withstand Category 4 hurricane winds.
