Underage Drivers, No Seat Belts being worn and have golf carts that are supposed to hold four to six people that are holding eight to 12 people, are some of what Holmes Bleach Police are finding.

In fact, Holmes Beach Police Chief William Tokajer tells Lulu and i, that the number of low-speed vehicles (like street legal golf carts) have tripled on Anna Maria island in just the last two years. That huge increase in these types of vehicles, comes with increased safety concerns, for everyone.

On a recent enforcement on this matter, a 14 year old driver was stopped, for driving a street legal golf cart.

Holmes Beach Police remind everyone, when in any type of street legal vehicle, even a golf cart. All rules and laws of the road must be observed. Only licensed drivers, may operate these vehicles. Seat belts must be worn... and if a vehicle or golf cart has 4 or 6 seats, no more than that, should be on the vehicle, at any one time.
