A new I-75 Overpass connecting the Lakewood Ranch's Waterside area and the UTC area near Nathan Benderson Park, will break ground in 2023
This new I-75 overpass will connect Lakewood Ranch and Cattleman Road. It is expected to open in the fall of 2025.
The overpass that was first announced in 2016 to connect the UTC area and Waterside Place of Lakewood Ranch.
This new connector will bring multiple benefits... Easier movement between Nathan Benderson Park, The Mall at University Town Center, and Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch.
It is expected to relieve traffic in the diamond interchange at University Parkway and I-75
The connector will also have space for use by both pedestrians and cyclists.
The project is a joint public and private partnership.
