Naked Florida man arrested after hitting door on a home with a barbell
A naked man carrying a barbell is accused of threatening to kill another man after a burglary at a Florida home.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, a witness told deputies he heard a noise from a neighbor’s house and saw 62-year-old Larry Gardner naked and banging on a sliding glass door with a barbell on Monday night.
The witness approached Gardner, who held the barbell over his head and told him, “I’ll kill you.”
The police report states the witness slapped Gardner twice, causing him to drop the weight. Gardner then picked up a metal rod from the residence’s yard and started chasing the man.
The man pulled his gun and told Gardner to drop the metal rod before another neighbor helped tackle Gardner to the ground.
Deputies say Gardner is accused of committing a burglary before the incident.
He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and armed burglary.
