Florida Man Arrested for Repeatedly Ramming Pick Up Truck into Venice Home
There was an odd situation in south Sarasota County. As a Venice man was arrested for ramming his pickup truck into a home.
When Venice Police responded to the home and found Anthony Antonaras, 38, sitting in the bed of his Chevy truck. .
Mr. Antonaras truck had heavy damage. There was also significant damage to home’s garage doors as well as the window next to the home’s front door was caved in.
Mr. Antonaras told officers his “foot slipped,” causing him to crash his truck into the house three times.
However, the woman who was inside the home alone said she heard a loud bang and saw Mr. Antonaras driving his truck into the house.
The woman called 911 and told the dispatcher she heard Mr. Antonaras yelling profanities while he drove into the house.
Venice Police wrote in their report, that Mr. Antonaras and the woman know each other,
The damage to the house is estimated to be well over $50,000.
Mr. Antonaras was arrested and is facing felony charges of criminal mischief and other charges.
