Venice Parade of Champions for high school athletes set for Saturday, March 26th
It's Parade Time for the Venice Indians. Venice High School and the City of Venice will host a “Parade of Champions” on Saturday, March 26th at 11am.
The event will celebrate the 2021 Venice High School state football championship, as well as 2 Venice High School seniors who won gold medals in basketball at the Florida State Special Olympics.
The parade will begin at Venice High and then travel west on Milan Avenue, north on Nokomis Avenue, then west on Venice Avenue, and north on Nassau Street to the gazebo in Centennial Park in Downtown Venice..
The parade will include Venice Fire and Police vehicles AND Douglas Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram of Venice will provide additional vehicles. .
School officials and city dignitaries will speak at a program, that will follow in the park.
The Venice High School Football Football Boosters will be selling state championship merchandise.
