Brett Young Says His Wife Had A Hard Time Listening To His Sad Songs

Brett Young and his wife Taylor met in Thanksgiving of 2008, he says they “broke up a handful of times,” including when he moved to Nashville. That relationship brought a few breakup songs. Brett says it was hard for Taylor to listen to those songs. Story here.

Those sad, breakup songs included “Mercy” and “Like I Loved You." By the time the songs were released, they were back together. Brett says “it turns out she’s hearing those songs on the radio and going like, this is the weirdest thing ever.”
