A New Chick-fil-A Has Just been Approved and is Coming to Manatee County

The Bradenton City Council Has Approved a New Chik-fil-A, that Will Be Built on the Southwest Corner of Manatee Avenue and 43rd Street West in Bradenton

The project includes building a 5,000-square-foot restaurant on the southwest corner of Manatee Avenue and 43rd Street West. The vacant Bank of America facility will be torn down in order to construct the fourth Chick-fil-A in Manatee County.

The design of this new Chick-fil-A’s will have most of the 97 parking spaces in the middle of the property. There will be the now typical "dual drive-thru lanes", which are capable of handling up to 52 vehicles, as they wrap around the exterior perimeter of the 2.1-acre piece of property. The design is meant to reduce the restaurant’s impact on traffic issues.

The plan is calling for two entrances to the restaurant, one on 44th Street West and the another on 43rd Street West, that one would be just south of Jessie P. Miller Elementary School’s exit on the east side of the road.

The Bradenton City Council voted unanimously to approved the special use permit required to build the Chick-fil-A.

However, the Bradenton city council’s approval includes certain provisions that would require potential changes if traffic does become an issue. From changes to the drive-thru operation, to possible a police presence, to assist with traffic

Manatee County does have plans to improve the Manatee Avenue and 43rd Street intersection. However, there is not a current timetable for that to happen.

The project manager's did not discuss a target date for when the restaurant would be open for business.
