A real estate agent in Jupiter, Florida heard about how much school lunch debt was owed by students in his town and he stepped up to help.
Andrew Levy says he didn’t want the kids to go without eating or be given a cheese sandwich, so he paid off the outstanding balance of $944.34 for all nine schools in Jupiter.
But he’s not stopping there. Now Levy says he’s going to do a Go Fund Me or another fundraiser every quarter so lunch debt doesn’t accumulate and kids won’t have to worry about paying the bill.
“Food is something you shouldn’t have to think about,” he says. “Children shouldn’t learn hungry.”
