The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the City of West Palm Beach are teaming up to ensure things are safe for former President Trump's election night watch party.

Trump will be watching the results come in at the Palm Beach County Convention Center tomorrow night and Mayor Keith James has a message for anyone considering starting trouble.

"While we don't expect or want any trouble or issues, I just want to let everyone know that if you are thinking about or planning on coming to our great city to cause problems, don't do it. It won't end well for you."

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw had a similar message during a joint press conference yesterday. He said he would have a couple of correctional buses on site, which the sheriff point out was a nice way of saying "jail."

"At the slightest inclination that things are getting ready to heat up and get out of hand, we're going to stop it real early and you're going to come spend the night with me."

Mayor James says hundreds, if not thousands of visitors are expected to attend the event and the police and sheriff's office have collaborated with Homeland Security and the Secret Service to ensure a secure environment.

There will be no major road closures with just one lane of Okeechobee Boulevard shut down next to the convention center.

There will be designated areas for protesters to stand, and Bradshaw says his deputies and West Palm Beach cops will not let it overflow into the streets. Protestors from each side will be kept separated from eachother.

Parking will be available in the convention center garage for people who are registered to attend but nobody else will have access.
