Quick Action by Father Thwarts Attempted Abduction at Miami Beach CVS

Miami Beach, FL - A Miami Beach man faces aggravated child abuse charges after allegedly attempting to kidnap a four-year-old boy inside a CVS Pharmacy on Thursday.

Authorities identified the suspect as Nicolas Sternaman, 26.

According to police reports, the incident unfolded shortly before noon when Sternaman allegedly grabbed and lifted the child as the boy was leaving the store with his parents.

Dramatic surveillance footage released by police shows the child's father reacting swiftly, engaging in a struggle with Sternaman to protect his son.

The child's mother can also be seen securing the young boy amidst the commotion.

During the struggle, Sternaman reportedly abandoned his jacket before fleeing the scene.

Fortunately, thanks to the father's rapid response and intervention, the child was unharmed.

Sternaman was later apprehended by authorities and charged with aggravated child abuse.

The investigation is ongoing.
