SEFFNER -- A convenience store customer goes to the hospital and a driver is facing charges, after an SUV plowed into a gas station and pinned a man walking into the store.
The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office says the Kia Forte driven by 37-year-old Anthony Katosh went through the front doors of the Travel Centers of America store on Tampa Gateway Boulevard in Seffner, near Interstate 4, early Tuesday morning. Video shows the Kia barreling at high speed toward the door. The car pinned the man on foot between the driver's side door and some metal. Both driver and victim went to Tampa General with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives determined the crash was not an accident and charged Katosh with Criminal Mischief (Value $1000 or more).
