Carrie Underwood reunited with Papa Roach to perform their collaboration with an impactful message.
Underwood said sheâs âso proud to call these guys my friends,â as she shared photos with the band on Instagram on Wednesday (October 9). The award-winning country artist recently joined Papa Roach on stage at FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. Together, Underwood and Papa Roach performed âLeave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark).â
Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix said when the collaboration released last year that âitâs a dream come true to have Carrie on this track,â which aims o raise awareness for suicide prevention, mental health, and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Shaddix said Underwoodâs âperformance and association will raise so much awareness for suicide prevention, which is more important than ever.â Underwood added at the time that she âwas honored to be invited to record âLeave A Light Onâ with them [Papa Roach]. itâs a beautiful song and the message behind it and the bandâs mission to shine a light on suicide prevention and mental health awareness has never been more important.â
Earlier this year, Underwood joined Papa Roach on stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, heading straight to the bandâs show after performing her own residency. They performed âLeave A Light Onâ and âLast Resort,â one of the bandâs most iconic hits.
