Keith Urban Mimics A-ha's "Take on Me" Visual For "Superman" Video

Keith Urban takes on the look of A-ha's classic "Take on Me" video in his new visual for "Superman." After his latest single opens with the lyrics, "Now lately I've been livin' in a world that's black and white / Ever since you left, all the colors just drained out of my life," the clip shows Urban looking through a black-and-white flip book before returning to full color for the song's chorus. As for whether he's ripping off A-ha, Urban tells Variety, "That’s one of my favorite videos of all time, the 'Take on Me” video by A-ha. And obviously, trying to shoot a video right now [during the pandemic] is challenging... So it’s about trying to come up with a way where we could do something a little different and not just be dependent upon solely green-screen type performance or a solo performance." "Superman" is the third track Urban has shared so far off his upcoming album The Speed of Now Part 1, due September 18. He previously released the singles “We Were” and “God Whispered Your Name.”
